Description of the project

The IKO building in Clichy-la-Garonne in the northwest of Paris, comprises approximately 9,500 square metres of office space spread over 11 light-filled floors, an accessible terrace and two dedicated parking levels. The building has dual environmental certification: BREEAM (Very Good) and HQE (Excellent).

The choice of light, natural materials dominate the inside of the building, with plenty of natural light drawn into the interior spaces. The exterior of the building is enveloped by a single skin fully glazed facade.

Guardian SunGuard® SNX 60 was chosen for the fully glazed façade. This triple silver coated solar control glass offers even better colour consistency and enhanced internal reflections. SNX 60 has a highly desirable, consistent, neutral, transparent appearance – regardless of the viewing angle. Internal coloured reflection is optimised, adding a much more neutral tone to the glass when viewed from the inside of the building. SNX 60 lets in 60% of natural daylight combined with just 29% of the solar heat – one of the highest selectivity (ratio of light transmission to solar factor) products on the market.
